Default 6800 ultra or GT? much difference in games?

I'm thinking about buying one of these cards. Is there MUCH difference
between the two when playing games such as doom3?
Also, I cant seem to find a 6800 Ultra in stock anywhere in the uk, does
anyone know where I could purchase one from? I've seen them on ebays, but..

Thanks in advance

Chris

You can overclock most every GT card to Ultra speeds. It's about price to
performance ratio. Alot of factors you need to consider.

I bought a GT and overclocked it to Ultra speeds. very easy to do with
forceware cool bits.

Save the hundred US dollars and get the GT and just over clock it.

They are all the same, go for price, package and differences from the Nvidia
refrence boards, such as the leadtek card. Cooling is important as are
"goodies".

Could you elaborate on the overclocking? Is the card stable? Can use same
fan? All brands can be overclocked? (I thought it was only the Gainward GT
Golden Sample).

Thank you,

I've got a BFG Geforce GT OC

after you install your driver for the card, you need to find and
download Forceware Coolbits. Just do a google search, you WILL find it
easily. The card is stable. I've seen no graphically errors or
artifacts, and not crashing at all. I'm using the stock cooling and
fan. The card has a temp cutoff at 120 degrees built in. From what i've
seen on the 3dmarks website it looks to me that plenty of people are
overclocking all brands of this card.

Well Pricewatch is wrong then. No-one is selling Ultras cheaper than than
the GT's. Period.
