52.16 question
I installed the 52.16 drivers from nvidia site and have had no problems so
far, yet my 3Dmark2001 score went from 12000 to 10600. Is this because 3Dmark2001 isn't a DX9 program or are the drivers that bad? What should I use instead? CM |

It has a comparision of the drivers (somewhere near the end). According to them, the new driver is better. Greetz, Derob |

Mine went down to.
It's not because of DX9 but rather due to driver coding itself. Just because scores went down in 3DMark2k1 doesn't mean the drivers aren't as good as the ones you replaced. As for me, while 3DM2k1 scores went down, my games fps averages went up! These are really better drivers unless you just play 3DMark2k1. That means nothing for real gaming experience. I have noticed that my 3Dmark went down, but some applications and games run more faster, smoother and reliable. So what's this all about?? Are we going to play benchmarks or real games in the future. :-) |

Went from the latest 45.xx beta to 52.16 and saw 3DMARK2001 scores drop from 9000 to 8200. Haven't tried benching any real games yet. RM |
