Default A7n8X SATA IDE or RAID Drivers

I have an A7N8X Deluxe (rev1.04) with the 1006 bios.
I just ordered a new Maxtor 160G SATA drive.
Does it matter if I use the raid drivers, or the regular ide drivers.

Asus only has the .22 drivers, while the newest from Silicon Image are .47
for IDE, or .32 for Raid.

I'm only using a single SATA hd, so will it work with those "Raid" drivers?
What's the diff between SATA Raid drivers, and SATA IDE drivers?

Not really the right NG to ask this, but if you don't have a RAID array,
RAID drivers won't do a thing for you and might even not work.
Get another drive, exactly the same and you will get SMOKING file
performance using SATA in a RAID0 array!
