Default GA-SINXP1384 - extra HDD

My system presently consists of:
IDE0 HDD1 HDD2
IDE1 DVD1 DVD2
I am proposing to put a new HDD onto IDE2 which is part of a pair of ATA133
RAID controllers. Has anyone tried or know if this will work as an
individual IDE controller, i.e. without enabling the RAID option at the
BIOS?
