Default AT7 massive "Hardware Failure" messages in windows XP

Hello,

After about a year and a half I have been getting a lot of "Hardware
Failure" messages in windows XP on my AT7 motherboard. I can only assume
it's the motherboard since I have been getting these errors before and after
I re-installed windows XP

any ideas?

Thanks

Marcus Hilderbrand

Bad caps? (if it's gonna happen, it happens around 18 months)

P.S. If it is bad caps, RMA it to Abit, I hear they will replace the board
under most circumstances.

I would rule out memory as the source of problems first. Be sure to
follow your manual's procedures in regards to ElectroStatic Discharge
(ESD). A stick of memory can often fail after a few months if it got
zapped when it was (first) installed.

Hello,

It's been a year and a half 18 months I have inspected the capacitors and
the same memory has been in the computer for that long. The article posted
did not specify modles of motherboards affected by the bad capacitor
problem.

Thanks
