Home PC DVD burner Question.
Hello,
First off I want to apologize if I've cross posted in the wrong groups. I hope someone will be able to shed some insight onto a question I have. I have an old PC with USB 1.1 connections. At this time I am not able to upgrade my Win'98 to WinXP to take advantage of adding USB 2.0 support to my PC. I am uncertain as to which would be a better purchase between an internal and external dvd burner. Most likely I would be using it exclusively with my home PC. My question is whether or not there is any difference(speed, etc.) between me using an external burner through my outer USB ports vs. connecting the burner internally. I understand that the burner would only achieve USB 1.1 speeds on the outer USB ports but would the results be any different if connected internally? Any help, suggestions or insight into this question would be appreciated and thank you in advance. Please reply or email me. -Ruben |
