Default follow up to a7n8x-vm won't boot up

ink.net...
I put the board and processor in a new case and power supply and the same
thing happens. The fan starts for two second and cuts out.
The processor is definitely mounted correctly.

I can't find any jumper in the pc that would prevent it from booting up.
I've never heard of a chassis intrusion detector, but I don't believe I

have
one. It's at the default setting

All the other jumpers appear to be sound jumpers, USB, nothing that would
cut the power out.

Besides buying a new board and processor and plugging equipment in and

out,
any ideas ?

Sounds like the thermal protection is kicking in...
did you use a stock heatsink and fan? or.....

I used the one that was mail ordered to me along along with the
motherboard.
They've always sent me good ones.

is it tight on the processor, try to twist it using little/no force and just
make sure that it's on tight..
did you use thermal grease?
did you remove any clear/plastic cover that's on the heatsink?

and heatsink, see here if not sure.... http://tinyurl.com/3ue5
