I have just found out that my monitor can indeed go up to 75 Hz, but still have no way of accessing the nvidia card's settings. Yes i hav disabled my integrated graphics chip, but when i attempt to use th other card at the time im limited to 8bit graphics. Im wondering now i the card has a physical problem.. -- 5200 |

I just changed my OS from Win98SE to WinXP SP2. I had a hell of a time
getting my FX5200 recognized and installing the Nvidia software. For me I had to enable in the BIO the option “Assign IRQ to VGA”. You have not told us what operating system you are using. If WinXP did you go into Control Panel - System - Hardware - Device Manager and see if anything was marked as a problem. -- Bill Brought to you from beautiful Unalaska/Dutch Harbor, Alaska. When you do not have option beside 8bit, you eithe did not have FX5200 driver install or unable to install. * If you unable to install, you may have use the wrong driver according to your OS. * You may need to check from your BIOS, to see if - Assign IRQ for VGA [Enable or YES]. * Disable onboard VGA [optional but might be necessary to disable / turn-off].
