GA-7IXE4 and AMD Duron 1300.

My first question is : Has anyone out there running this combination of
hardware?

I can't seem to get this processor to boot at all. Everything works fine
with my old Athlon 750, but when I plug my new Duron 1300 in, it auto
detects the drives then hangs.

I have been told that the fact that the boot gets as far as it does proves
that the processor is working. Is this true?

I have updated the BIOS to F9 in line with Gigabyte's recommendations and
this new BIOS works fine with the Athlon.

HELP!!!
