Default PCI-X Compatability Issues

I am planning a Motherboard upgrade in the near future.
The one that overall best suits my needs (a Supermicro) has a combination of
3 64 bit PCI-X and 2 32bit PCI expansion slots.
All the PCI cards I will be installing are 32bit universal type.(5v and 3.3v
keys)
I will be fitting 3in total so one will need to go into a PCI-X slot.
I understand that there should be no problem with this but, is this as
things are in reality or can I expect any problems?
Should I avoid using any particular type of card (i.e. sound card) in a
PCI-X slot.

TIA for any comments.

Roger

PCI-X Slots are for Server motherboards, or do you mean PCI Express?

No they are defiantly PCI-X.
Supermicro classify the board as a "workstation" board. It uses a single P4
cpu.
