Default Need drive array config disk for proliant 1850

I have a Compaq Proliant 1850R.
I'm running the System Configuration Utility (SCU) from the 4 diskette set.
When I select Drive Array Configuration from the System Configuration
menu it ask for the 'Drive Array Configuration' diskette.
Where do i get this diskette?
I cannot locate this on Compaq's web site.
i tried using disk 2,3,4 of the SCU with no results.

Thanks
Scott

Please download Smart Start 5.50 ISO file from HP. Burn a CD, and boot from
that. It has everything you need.

yes, the page is all messed up ... click the box where the download button
would normally be, and proceed.

LC,

Time, and experience, has shown that we must always include the "burn
at the slowest possible speed" tip. If we don't, we will surely see him
re-post saying that his disk will not boot.

Thanks, I downloaded the ISO image.

I'm just curious but wouldn't that be more of an issue with the burner
or burner software?

It appears to be entirely related to the burn speed. If possible, burn
the disk at 4x speed...it will be worth the extra two minutes or so. If
you feel ambitious, and find this to be a compelling curiousity, try
burning a second disk at full speed (52x)...you will likely find that
the first disk boots, and the second does not.

Agreed.

There were a ton of posts here a couple years ago when HP first made the iso
available. For some reason, as Jeffrey says, one must burn the image to disk
at the slowest possible speed. I cant imagine why it would matter, but its
possible that the image was ripped with an old burner, at a slow speed or
something like that.

let us know how it works out for you,

- LC

It could be the CD ROM firmware. There was an issue in 2000 with DL380s
whereby certain CD ROM drives had a problem with the firmware that caused
certain European issued SmartStart CDs (anout 4.70) to not work, and it took
2 firmware releases to fix it.

So my guess would be the firmware is a bit finickety requiring a 'deeper'
burn. Thinking about it, it could also be that the older CD drives are less
sensitive or have different tollerances, so a slower burn (it does make a
difference with Audio as well apparently) should be more consistent and
reliable.

It /could/ depend on the quality of your CD burner, but I wouldn't argue
with the experts...
