Default Notebook cracking lid

Anyone else have problems with A compaq notebook with lid cracking near the
hinges? under normal usage?

Virtually ALL plastic cracks eventually. Not limited to Compaq.
If they didn't dry the plastic adequately before molding, the
cracking happens sooner. It was so bad on the Compaq LTE286 that
compaq replaced cases for free.

Have an Evo 1.2 GHZ.. just over 1 year old....very badly cracking seems very
common looking at google
