Sam Stone:

Does this look a little more reasonable? Video Card, HD, and monitor
appear to be good choices to you?

Don't know anything about the Rosewill monitor but the rest looks good.

Also, while I have tapped into your infinite wisdom, can you think of
anything else I would need to complete this system? ie. cables, silicon
paste, or any other items not generally thought of?

Thanks again,
Sam

I'll jump in here and say that I never use the supplied thermal junk on the
heatsink. I opt, instead, to scrape it off the heatsink and use Artic
Silver, instead. I think it does a much better job of cooling than that
crap or a thermal pad. Don't use too much, or it'll become a mess, but
don't skimp on it or you'll overheat the processor. Follow the directions
carefully.

Your motherboard should come with cables for IDE, and SATA. Your CD/DVD
drives, if they're retail, should come with a sound card cable. I can't
think of any cables, other than that, that you'll need. If you do find
something you need during the build, CompUSA has in the past year or so,
started carrying parts for home builders and you should be able to find
what you need there.
