DVD ROM NOT READY
System is Windows 98, with a Samsung DVD ROM (master) as Drive D and 1XAcer
20x10 CD_RW (slave) as Drive E on Secondary IDE cable. Frequent error message "Drive not ready" is received when Disc inserted in Drive D. As the discs sometime play and sometimes do not I don't think the discs are at fault (they play OK on other PCs). Internal connections appear sound. Drive just does not seem to recognise that a disc has been loaded. Any advice/solutions please? Michael
