The architecture of the 9600 Pro is totally different from the 9800. There
are no more pipelines, in fact there are 4 less than the 9500 Pro.

Not all 9500s can be soft modded either. I'd venture a guess that
there are NO new 9500 non-pros that can be soft modded. If you want 8
pixel pipes then you are going to have to purchase them. OTOH, an
overclocked 9600 Pro is a very fast card, almost even with the
non-overclocked 9500 Pro and a good deal cheaper to boot.

So what your saying their are no more physical pipelines on the card.

And nothing on the card that can be unlocked to speed it up.

Its all be cut out to save money.

Thats all i want to know.

Because i read that a 9500 could be modified to give it extra speed or
one of the ATI cards.

Thanks.
