ti4600 or fx5200

well first of all your compairing a dx9 card to a dx8 card, next the fx5200
would be closer in comparison to a ti4200, someone else wanna explain? gotta

Ti4600 for speed, you'll get nearly double the 3DMark01 score.
FX5600 is DirectX 9 compliant, which doesn't really mean too much right
now.
The *best* card to get at the moment is an ATI 9800 or nV FX 5900.

Well considering the 4600 is ALOT faster than the 5200..
I'd go with the 4600. Its still a great video card.
I get close to 7700 with the FX5200 on my system (see below) and just over
13000 with the 4600.
That should tell you something.

I would think also the price difference would be quite significant!
Rule of thumb with graphics cards is that you get what you pay for, so more
bucks usually means more bang.

I have an AMD Athlon XP 1900+, 256MB PC2100, GeForce 3 Ti200,
and WinME, and I got a score near 6900. The FX 5200 is around GF3
Ti200 performance. The FX 5200 Ultra is problably near a GF3 Ti500.
The GF4 Ti4600 will be alot faster. The only thing the FX 5200 has on
the GF4 Ti series is that it supports DirectX 9 shaders.
