7n400 pro2 Gameport how to add
Hi folks
I have a 7n400 pro2 and I want to add a Game port. I see in the book that there are pins on the MB for a Game port .But Mb's used to come with the cable and connections None came in my MB box, does that mean I now have to go out and buy a special Card or a special Game port to plug into the MB, I cant see much info on this in the Manual. Is there diffent types of Game ports or is it a standard type thing. Cheers and thanks |

As far as I can see they didn't include a game/MIDI connector. The book says
to ' contact your local dealer for optional game cables . The only one I found was for an AOPEN board. JPS "Ockerr" wrote in message ... Hi folks I have a 7n400 pro2 and I want to add a Game port. my board didnt include one. I tried the local computer shops and no joy.
Then I found someone on our local auction site selling one and the pins matched the 7n400pro2 board so have bought that. It seems to be a fairly standard connector. I have them and they are wired 1:1, that's pin 1 of the 15 pin D games connector to pin 1 of the mobo header, pin 9 to pin 9, 2 to 2 etc. Pin 16 of the mobo header is left unconnected. You may be able to find a local electronic shop with IDC version of the connectors to be able to make you one. |
