Aspect Ratio Problems
Hi,
I'm using a NVidia GeForce4 MX 4000, with a custom resolution of 1024 x 576, to display to a TV (a widescreen CRT) through the S-Video port. Problem is, it displays using a 4:3 aspect ratio, giving black bands at either side of the 16:9 display! The full width of the display can be scrolled into view by moving the mouse cursor off to the left or the right of the screen. Can anyone tell me how I can set up the NVidia driver with the correct display width, please? I suspect this is a timing issue, but don't know enough to resolve the problem. Thanks, Paul. |

Try Zoom Player. It has aspect ration adjustments. I haven't actually got a
widescreen telly to test it with. However, on a 4x3 display it can introduce the borders. It also has raw aspect ratio controls.. 'tis also free unless you want to watch DVDs with it.
