RAID 0 on a GA-K8V Ultra-939: VT8237R or SiL3512?
Hello,
There seems to be two possibilities for SATA RAID 0 on the motherboard GA-K8V Ultra-939: I could use two SATA disks connected to the VT8237R (Called "OnChip Serial ATA" in the BIOS) or two disks connected to the SiI3512 (called "Onboard H/W Serial ATA" in the BIOS). So my first question is am I right so far? Then, where do I get the drivers to install Windows XP on the RAID. On the CD of the board there is a \BootDrv\menu utility with the possible options for RAID drivers: Intel IAA_RAID, SiIRAID, Promise 20276 RAID, Promise 20265 RAID. I guess that SiIRAID is for the SiI3512. But I'm not sure about the VT8237R. Finally, if I have two possibilities, which one is the best? Thanks for any help, Pierre |
