USR8022 upgrade failed
Hello,
When I tried to upgrade the firmware of my USRobotics 8022 wireless router, the router hung and now it doesn't work anymore. When I try to access the configuration utility (using the browser) all I get is a message saying "upgrade not completed". I've already tried a hardware reset, with no luck. I have tried to ftp to the router, and it responds but I don't know any userid and password to login - I guess there should be some secret factory default. |

USR or "maybe" a Google search might find the userid and password. Have you tried powering-cycling, unplugging it from power for a few seconds? You might try finding, using the password (and any other ideas) before power-cycling, since it might not reboot after a power clcye if the firmware is in an unusable state, though if that were the situation i'd have thought the reset would cause the same problem. Most routers respond to that. User name and password should be the same you use when you connect through the web interface. |
