When you run the Catalyst installation program for the new drivers,
regardless of whether the installation was ultimately successful, the files
should have been extracted to a folder on your hard disk. By default it
should be C:\ATI\SUPPORT\8-12_blahblah. Confirm the driver files are there.

Uninstall your current Catalyst Control Center and ATi display driver
through Control Panel - Add/Remove Programs. Upon reboot the system will
default to a very low resolution. A dialog box should automatically pop up
asking for drivers. Point the dialog box to the folder where the driver
files were previously extracted.

Since the 4850 is dual-head, Windows may detect a second display device and
ask for drivers a second time. Point the dialog box to the same folder as
before (basically installing the same files twice).
