Default Game/Midi connector on P4C800 MoBO

I've purchased and installed the USB 2.0/Game module on a new P4C800
MoBo. Everything went flawlessly 'till I hooked up my Saitek Cyborg
3D joy stick. I downloaded and installed current Saitek drivers and
calibrated the stick. I get very eratic input and am unable to
control aircraft in Flight Simulator 2002. Is this a problem with me
or the board? HELP!! I need a clue here.
