Default How many seconds for a basic transition?

Hi,
I have a new PC Pentium IV 800 MHz, P4C800 Deluxe motherboard and
DVRex RT.
I think my new PC is too much slow. I had a dual Pentium III 600 MHz
and it required the same time to make a basic transition.
1,10 seconds of a basic transition it requires about 4 seconds of
rendering.
Will my PC have some problems?
thanks

bye Fogar
