Default cooling 8800 GT OC .. some good, some bad ..

Oh boy. Here we go:

Thermal tape is $4.00 S&H is $11.00 ... $15.00

Heat sinks are $4.00 uk and export $52.00 uk ...

I don't know the uk conversion, but roughly the
fix will cost at least $67 in extraneous charges.

Need to find a USA source for both. I did find
the tape at ebay, but they want my name and
phone number. No way, jose. Ebay is scumbag
and now they own Paypal.

I imagine I'm not the only one going through this.
Anybody got a fix to these charges ?

You guys are pretty good for information
that gets the job done. I wish you worked
here. Thanks ...got both the tape and the
Mosfet heat sinks coming from Best Byte.
Total cost plus S&H, less than $12.
And .. you saved me from throwing away
about $150 for worthless parts that never
would have worked. Good job !

Good for you johns! While I'm meh on fragtape (it just doesn't work as
good as goop) ramsinks are always a smart idea, very few people bother
with mosfet heatsinks or ram heatsinks and as you describe, inexpensive.
