Default Solaris 10 on Proliant ML110G4?

Anyone ever tried Solaris 10 on a ML110G4 (Xeon 3040)? These are dirt
cheap in the moment and I'd like to have one as a test bed for some
applications. HP's bigger iron are certified for Solaris, but this
little box isn't.

(But hey, at 300¤ it is way cheaper than any no-name box I could get.
It is about the price of the bare CPU + hard drive combined)

cheers

give it a try ... it will run solaris 8 and 9, i have no idea why it wouldnt
run 10 also.

I have run 'unsupported' operating systems on many-a proliant server. The
results have always been satisfactory. You just have to get creative with
drivers and support pack components, and such.
