Transpoting an array
I have a Smart Array 3200 running RAID 5 with RHEL. I need to move it
to a different data center. is there a proper way of disconnecting the system before powering down? The steps i plan are unmount the array pull the power cord in the back of the array pull the array cable from the server so it turns off ( have not seen a power off switch on it) move it put array cable back plug power back so it powers on mount the array. any visible problems with my steps? thnak is advance for any help sk

What is the server? is your Raid5 array all internal to the server? Are you

The RAID is on a Smart Array and connected externally to a HP DL380. I
