Default Drive is 'not stamped for monitoring'

Just rebuilding a Proliant 5500 and ran array diagnostic and it asked
me if I would like to see the faults.

"Port 1 Drive 3 is not stamped for monitoring"

I've now swapped out the drive for a spare and the rebuilt array
reports 'no problems detected'. What's with the other drive and can it
be 'stamped'?

Regards,
Jason.

Default Drive is 'not stamped for monitoring'

My drive is definately an original Compaq drive I can see the Compaq
logo and part number through the top of the caddy.

Ironically the drive in question had just been attached to a SA431
which came out of a ML350 (as per the drive on the HP site posting).
But at the time of the error it was attached to a Smart-2DH, I shall
put this one in reserve and mark it as questionable.

I've got a Proliant 2500 to rebuild later and I'll see if the array in
that one likes it any better...

Thanks,
Jason.
