Help: a7n8x/3200+ 400fsb only runs at 1.1ghz
Hey, I just built my first new computer in the last 5 years and I
tried to get all the top of the line components. I have the amd 3200+ 400mhz fsb, the a7n8x asus motherboard and a stick of 512mb 3200 ddr memory. However, the system won't boot up unless I set the external frequency in the bios to 100mhz. Other wise i'm getting different errors every bootup but it will never finish all the way. I'm guessing some bios or jumper setting is f'ed up but I really don't know this is the first computer i've ever built. Thanks for any suggestions.

The A7N8X has problems with a 400MHz FSB without an updated BIOS. Steve
