Default Control read speed with nero ultra - how?

I just upgraded to Nero Ultra (6.3.0) from 5.x.

With the upgrade it seems as though I lost the ability to control the
rip / read spead of my drives. For instance if I want to do a disc to
disc copy of an audio disc, with 5.x I could set the read spead
anywhere from 1x to 40x on my Ultraplex scsi drive, now with 6.3 the
read speed is greyed out. How to get control back?

Read speed in the tools section does not seem to have any affect when
doing a disc to dsic copy.

Thanks

Nelson
