Default shipping from us to uk

Are there any reputable online component retailers in the us that would ship
to the uk?

Exchange rates are looking pretty good atm ($1.84 = £1).

Its a big shame newegg doesnt ship here, it cant cost that much to ship a
gfx card here, surely?

Example: leadtek a350 fx5900 vivo $220/£120 at newegg ,£233 at
overclockers.co.uk

oh well :-(

Most can't be bothered with the customs paperwork. They need to report the
value on the outside of the box so that you can be charged VAT when it
enters the UK. Then the postoffice will add on their handling fee. Add all
this to the international postage costs and it probably wont look so
spacial.

Also what about the warranty, you'll be responsible for returning the card
to the dealer for any claims.

Also the TV Out features may not work all that well, since UK uses PAL and
USA uses NTSC.

You may find people on us ebay, I just got a 256 Ultra II SD stick for £44
+ £5 shipping it was even priced in £ !, used paypal, Considering an Ultra
II CF is about £80 and SD is normally double CF thats a bargain as they're
not yet about in the UK!

So there's a driver that can make analog hardware produce a waveform it was
not intended to produce? Do tell.

NTSC and PAL are different analog standards. If the board does not have the
hardware to support PAL then all the software in the universe isn't going
to make it output PAL.

You select what standard you use in the control panel. It wouldn't be
economically viable to produce graphics cards that are set to a
specific standard.

A bit pricey aren't they you import form the USA to make savings thru 1)
lower prices generally 2) the strong £ those tiger direct prices are
equivelent to uk online suppliers despite the strong £ and in some cases
more pricey + add delivery and no point

Know anywhere else ?
