Default Gamma Settings

Little help please, I recently bought a few pc games Desert storm 2 is one
and I find them very dark when playing but there where no settings in the
game to change the gamma settings which most do have, my question is how
can I make the game a little brighter as I suffer with my eyes and find it
very dark. I have been told I can change my video card settings to help in
this but they are set at full % any other advise please

I have

win xp pro
hansol 720a monitor
fx 5600 128mb card
44.03 drivers

cheers Dave
