FX 5200 with "Dawn" - display problems
Hi
The "Dawn" demo is lovely, but would be marvelous as it was intended, if there weren't shafts of colour emanating from different parts of Miss Faery or the timber around her. I've tried altering some of the display properties and am getting nowhere very fast. I'm hoping that someone here knows what this is - has seen it before and knows the fix. I'm running XP home SP1 and the Nvidia driver version 5.3.0.3 is the most recent download. I really want my pixie. Eric Plantard |

Requires a 5600 - and even that is kinda rough... 5200, weak card - not able to handle Dawn. -- Remember when real men used Real computers!? When 512K of video RAM was a lot! Hi Darthy,
Thanks. I wasn't hoping that much but complete corruption of the display by these spurious shafts of colour is utter rubbish. NV say the 5200 should support it. My guess is as you have said, rather badly. Eric "Darthy" wrote in message ... I've run DAWN on both the 5200 and 5900... it blew chunks on the 5200. Same computer - just swapped cards. -- Remember when real men used Real computers!? When 512K of video RAM was a lot!
