Asius V9950 (FX9500, 128MB) and winxp random reboots
My (winXP Professionel) system randomly reboots every 1-3 hours, since
I installed the Asius V9950 - FX5900 card (geforce 53.03 driver). The strange thing is: It reboots under simple Window conditions (every 1-3 hours when i open/close windows of e.g. system device or system maintenance. Temperature is ok with 40 degrees Celsius. Power valus are ok also in normal situations. The boot-up sequence always runs fine. A 3d game like BF1942 runs great with 90 fps and never re-boots. Even if I play 2-3 hoursCPU Temp goes to 50 degrees C). Stressing the system with Sandra Pro 2004 (burn-in test) generates no problems. Could it be a defective psu (Qtech 350 watt): Errors only occur with no stress/burn in situations? I intend to buy the Enermax 465AX PSU (460 Watt); has anybody experienced this problem also? MoBo: Asus P4T-M bios 1005, CPU P4 - 2.60 Ghz FSB 400 (used 423-478 adapter). 1 GB IBM ECC Memory (4x256MB) 2 hard disks (IBM 120 GB, Maxtor 160 GB). 1 dvd-reader, 1 dvd-burner. BIOS: AGP aperture size 64 or 128 MB, AGP Fast write disabled. Nvidia 53.03 drivers. |
