Default MX440 tv out

I have a TV connected via S-Video output and would like to have the same
picture on the TV as my monitor. I can get it to "span" no problem but I
cannot find any settings for having the same picture on both. Am I missing
something here?

Any help appreciated.

Mark

Clone should be available. Under nview there's Normal, Clone, Vertical and
horizontal spanning. If not, update drivers. Also for watching movies set
overlay setting to second screen.

By dragging icins of the monitors I can span vertical, above or below or
horizontal, left or right but I cannot find Clone. I have just updated the
drivers so I know I have the latest. Any more ideas.

Thanks

I guess you drag two monitors in settings meni? Wrong. Leave that alone.
Did you open display properties, then settings, then advanced, then GeForce
MX 440. Then you get new meni open at left of this window. There it's
GeForce MX 440 and under + sign, first one should be nView. Click on that
And you should see that options (like normal, clone etc. If it's greyed out,
you must first connect TV, then click find screens(or similar ).

Got it. Maybe I didn't reboot after installing the new drivers. I couldn't
find that anywhere yesterday. Just put it down to rank stupidity.
Thanks for your help.

I got just the same problem with my GeForce MX440.
The options are grayed out on my monitor too.
I first connect my TV sceen and select the video channel, then I start my
computer up.
Still it is grayed out. When I click on "find screens" nothing happens at
all.

The only thing I imagine I could be doing wrong is that I only connect the
(yellow) video plug on my TV and not the audio.
Could that be the problem?

No, audio has no point here. But video cable may be broken. If you do have
some sort of instrument, check out, if it's OK.
TV is detected on computer if on Video out is some sort of resistance (75
ohm typically). IF cable is broken, nothing is detected. Make sure that
yellow is really video input on TV (see your manual). sometimes it's white
one. If you can find resistor 75 ohm (or narest you can get will also do),
then connect it on video out on PC and see if then TV is detected.
But generally if you have more connectors on TV, try them all. You have
nothing to loose.

I've tried several ways. I know that the cable isn't broken because I can
get video on the tv while using standard mode.
But I want to see video on my monitor and on my TV at the same time so I
need clone mode.
But the driver software doesn't detect my TV-screen.
Maybe I'll try another cable anyway.

ThanX

Very strange indeed... I hope you'll solve your problem.
