Default GeForce FX 5600 Ultra AGP8X 128MB installation problem

Guys,

I tried tp upgrade my video card to the GeForce FX 5600 but when I
rebooted my PC NOTHING happened. I heard 3 beeps though: long short
short. But after that? Nothing on the screen. My TFT screen didn't
even come out of stand-by mode. Any ideas?

I am running Windows XP prof on a Pentium 4, 1.7 GHz, 256 Mb RAM

If you would need any more info please ask because I don't know what I
should give.

What motherboard? Try an AGP of 64MB. 128MB is high if you only have 256MB.

thanks,

Jef

Either your AGP slot is fried, your video card is fried, or your video card
is incompatible with your motherboard. The beep code you describe indicates
that no video was found on the system. Remove the card and re-insert it.
Also, make sure you have either a VERY good 300W power supply or preferably
a good 350W or bigger power supply in your system.
