Default Driver problem watching video

I currently have 162,18 drivers installed, for my 8800GTS card, when I up
date the drivers any cideo I wathc with media player the colour is "washed
out" (I know this is not a technical term).

I have thried the drivers from the Nvidia site and the beta drivers, both
with the same result. I can get back to a "normal" screen by changing
options in the control panel, but different videoa need different
adjustments. This is not the case with the 162.18 drivers.

Any assistance would be appricated.

Have you tried resetting display properties (for both 2D/desktop
and 3D/overlay) to defaults? Look closely at the display
properties boxes, the button to reset is there somewhere.
