e500 shrunken display
Hey all. I just picked up an E500 on ebay. I'm testing it and see
that the display is shrunken. It has no OS yet. When it boots, it gives the full screen Compaq name, but then in BIOS or DOS it is only has a 4x5" display in the middle of the screen. What might be causing that? Thanks, Steve |

Thanks, Steve Oh, sorry I just found the answer by searching this group. It's FN-T to expand the screen. Why didn't I learn that in my previous 10 years of solving pc problems? There's something new everyday! That's what's so wonderful about computers. Never a dull moment - if you love chasing down arcane problems that is. And I've had an Armada E500 for two years already. But it was a 13" and this is a 15". I'm glad it works ok. Thought it had a mismatched display or something. Steve |
