Default Upgrading from 6600GT for under $200

I'm looking to make the biggest upgrade for around $200.00
USD, or less. I already have a 6600GT. Looking at 6800 standards that
aren't crippled leaves them priced over $200.00. Makes a 6800GT, or
faster way out my budget range.
Looking to ATI, all I see in this price range are X800/GT/GTO,
and some used X800XL cards for a few bucks over $200.00 at Newegg. Do
any of these cards make for an upgrade over a 6600GT. I know the
6600GT has SM 3.0, but from what I read, by the time games use it
extensivly, the 6800 Ultra won't fair well, so a 6600GT would bog down
pretty bad.

Rule number one: sometime in the future new games will not perform well on
currently sold video cards.
Rule number two: if buying a new display card isn't necessary (as in
replacing a failed card), then there's no need to upgrade your display
adapter until games you use NOW don't perform well.

Commodity display adapters (those sold in very high numbers to general
users) are pretty well priced according to performance, and discounted as
they get older. At present here really isn't a card $200 USD better than a
6600GT for less than $200 USD. How could there be? A 6600GT still sells
for the better parto of $200 USD.

Also you should consider the limitations of your current motherboard, CPU,
memory, and operating systems.

Well. Thjat's just it. I'm upgrading from an Athlon XP AGP
system to an Athlon 64 Socket 939 PCI-E system, so I have to upgrade
the video card.

You'll be hard pressed to beat the 6600GT for under $200
