Default Nforce 2 northbridge passive cooling?

I have a Zalman northbridge cooler (tall blue heatsink). I'd like to
replace the whiny HSF on my Soltek Nforce 2 MB with this passive
solution. Am I asking for trouble it terms of overheating? Thanks!

Take a look at some photos of the Asus A7N8X-Deluxe. If memory serves me
correctly, its northbridge is passively-cooled.

Just don't go overclocking with it...

well if you have a 80mm fan on your cpu
your nb will actually run cooler

AN7 hs + fan = 40deg
the Blue zaliman = 35 deg

cpu heatsink = alpha 8045 with 2700 rpm 80mm fan

because the zaliman cooler is so big it gets cooled very nicley from the air
blowing out of the cpu heatsink
