Intel® Application Accelerator - does it work?
I happened across this application accelerator today and it's the first
time I've heard of it. Does it work? Any problems or reasons not to try it? How can you tell if it's already installed? Sounds cool if it works. http://www.intel.com/support/chipset...x.htm?iid=ipp_ 845pechpst+body_feature_iaa& http://tinyurl.com/6kf6h -- Mac Cool |

In a worst-case scenario, it will bugger up your system every which way but loose. So, IMHO, I say don't install it and save yourself some grief. |

it's completely worthless. all it does is change some settings you could
easily change yourself (like enabling DMA) and take away your option to change them back. "Mac Cool" wrote in message ... (Mode 5 and one in Mode 4) After the install all is well. Main thing is to make really sure that you have compatible chipsets on the motherboard because if you don't you may really f**k things up. The info site on Intel will tell you exactly which chipsets will work and which won't. ....Allen |
