How do you think a 64mb ti4200 card will handle future games like halflife2, doom3, farcry, stalker etc... It will be okay. Not great, but okay. But it's really too early to say since there's no demos. |

Most still at 1024*768 medium to max detail. But games like Halo I had to drop 800*600, still max detail. It will be fine, unless you want to get caught up in the latest and greatest. Not great, but okay. But it's really too early to say since there's no demos. There is a Half Life2 Tech demo... shows one bug, a couple of buildings... loooks very real. Where can this be downloaded from? |

People make "video demos" with real-time rendering... quite a bit. It doesn't have the artifacts of a video... Its an EXE file as well... And it runs like crap on a 5200fx, but runs very smoothly on a Ti4200. Running other videos on the 5200fx look just as good as a 5900... Videos don't require 3DCard power... Even a GF2mx can play a video file as good as any modern card... as long as theres enough CPU behind it. -- Remember when real men used Real computers!? When 512K of video RAM was a lot! Very su http://www.radgametools.com/bnkmain.htm Thanks... It is a very HQ video... and I'm watching it on a 19" flat tube monitor... With that in mind... Half Life 2 *WILL* need at least the power of the 5900/9800 to get good performance... -- Remember when real men used Real computers!? When 512K of video RAM was a lot! Death to Palladium & WPA!! |
