Default Skybuck's Computer(s) Situation Update(s) (PC crashed again)

Ok I was busy with just editing something, nothing to intensive and the
pc crashed again.

I checked the inside of the pc case right after the crash.

There was no cable rubbing against the cpu fan so that can't be it.

The last few crashes all showed the same blue screen:

"IRQ less than..." something like that.

What was the stop code?

The stop code was:

"UP YOUR ASS"

=D

Bye,
Skybuck.

Default Skybuck's Computer(s) Situation Update(s).(Cables behind motherboard causes interferences ?)

Somebody wrote tightening up cables might be bad because of cross talk.

The cables could be tucked away behind the motherboard spreaded out.

However this raises another question:

Will all these cables behind the motherboard cause interference with the
motherboard's electronics ?

Bye,
Skybuck.

Well you have proven what a ****ing moron you are with that post.

WOULD YOU ****ING LISTEN TO WHAT PEOPLE ARE TELLING YOU

before going off on one of your silly rants, you have not even begun to
diagnose your problem and you are ranting about new cases and cooling and
faulty motherboards.

OH wait I know maybe its a Bios virus again!

SIGH

Default Skybuck's Computer(s) Situation Update(s).(Cables behind harddisks bad ?)

Hmm,

I also saw somebody routing the cables behind the motherboard panel... but
near the harddisks...

I wonder what's worse:

1. Routing the cables behind the motherboard.
2. Routing the cables behind the harddisks.

Maybe those power cables could interfer with the bits on the harddisks.

And that's the worst possible situation.

Losing bits on harddisks because of magnetic fields of power cables would be
nasty !

Take a load of this, to see what I am talking about

I have seen different stop codes, different errors, different kinds of
hangs/freezes, etc.

I already told you... it's all over the place.

Give your allmighty stop code a rest.

Bye,
Skybuck.

So have you tested the ram yet for a full 24 hours in memtest?

That was me. I'm gratified to know that you can read as well as spew.

No. There's not enough space and you're certain to punch holes in the
cables with the sharp points of the component leads. That added
capacitance to ground (i.e. the case) may also cause problems. Bad
idea.

Will all these cables behind the motherboard cause interference with the
motherboard's electronics ?

No. The crosstalk and coupling problems are only between long runs of
parallel cables. For example, bundling the hard disk ribbon cable (or
SATA cable) with the power cable to a floppy disk or cdrom drive, will
cause a glitch every time the drive starts and stops. Eventually, the
glitch will appear at an inconvenient time and scramble some important
bits. Keep the power and data cables seperate.

Much as I sympathize with your inability to make two consecutive
motherboards function, I'm impressed with your imaginative thinking
and creative logic. Unfortunately, neither of these are very useful
in producing a working computer. You might want look at what others
have done and follow their examples.
