Bad uninformed, I believe-every-blog-I-read poster!

NVIDIA outsourced their community forum (forums.nvidia.com) and used for
volunteer moderators a long time back. Major people in the industry,
online reviewers, major hardware sites, and well known enthusiasts all
often get preview hardware, access to driver development, and press info
beforehand.

OMG, that reviewer got a free card, they must be in on it!

Blogs?! You are the one that is misinformed. Why don't you check out
some tech sites for the real story. Even the Inquirer had an article
about it.

The National Enquirer of the nerd industry.

Sure they're reporting what has been said, but not making the accusations.

Nvidia has a checkered past. Why should they change now?

Nvidia should spend less time shilling, more time writing drivers that work
with the most popular game around, the Sims 2. Still haven't fixed the
corruption with the 81.xx drivers.

How many people who play the Sims are going to make ATI their next card just
because the way Nvidia has treated them?

(... rapidly waning, lots of used copies.........)

Actually WoW if we are referring to PC games............

Still haven't fixed the
corruption with the 81.xx drivers.

What corruption ? Be specific. Give all system specs...

What other feature of the driver are you using that requires you to
install 81.xx ? Just back the driver down. Dead easy. Download your
choice of older driver from the nVidia archives. In Add/Delete
Programs, uninstall current driver, reboot. . Install older driver.

How many people who play the Sims are going to make ATI their next card just
because the way Nvidia has treated them?

Frying pan into fire...........

Are you sure it's not the game. I've been told that the Sims has
been lagging behind Windows, that it wouldn't even run in Windows
XP.

My kid plays it all the time. Both Sim1 and Sim2 with numerous expansion
packs. Runs fine with a 6600
