Default ELO touch screen in XP?

Trying to get a ELO controlled touchscreen to work on an XP SP2 comp.
The controller is an older ISA card. (E271-2201 model)
This board was obviously made before XP came out but after trying the
drivers for NT that are loosely called "MonitorMouse 4.0" & reading that for
older model controllers I need the "2.0 version", I found it & tried it.
(mmnt.exe)
All seems OK but at the very last moment on booting I get an orange light on
the controller indicating a problem.
The green light continues to flash at about twice a second. (at least)
Any help???
