SATA RAID question
Please help!
I am having difficulty getting Win XP to boot from my RAID 0 array ... My old hard drive contains three partitions .. system, apps, and multimedia. I installed the two new drives and used the Intel Application Accelerator software from my P4C800 cd to install the drivers and configure a raid array from the two drives. I also enabled sata raid in the bios. Pressing Ctrl-I at startup shows the new array as being bootable. I then created the three partitions on the new drive and copied across all of the data from the old ... my applications now run from the new drive, as does my multimedia .. but I simply cant get the whole system to boot from the raid array. At startup I get a prompt saying "A read error has occured", and I have to reconnect the old drive and boot from that instead. I have set the system partition of the new drive as active but I have now ran out of ideas! Any help is greatly appreciated! Chris Murray |
