Anyone recommend an all-in-one CD/DVD printing printer?
"Trevor" wrote in message . com... Preferably wireless. The Canon units are better machines with more features and better software, but USA models require a firmware hack and you need to buy a disc tray off Ebay. The Epson units are good quality printers, but a bit more expensive to operate. Those are the only 2 real options. The HP models are inferior in almost every way, especially the software and drivers. |

Preferably wireless. Why not a lightscribe CD/DVD writer, instead ? B&W, but is color really important for a CD/DVD face ? |

I have a Canon printer that I use for that. Bought the tray that holds the CD/DVD on ebay at a very reasonable price. The tray also came with instructions on how to modify the firmware to let you select CD/DVD as a media type. The option is already in the firmware, just not activated on units sold in the US. Instructions for downloading the easy to use software also came with the tray. The results are outstanding, and fast. I have a Lightscribe DVD drive too, and a bunch of Lightscribe DVD's but I'll never again use them for anything that I wanted to really label. Writing to a Lightscribe disk takes a long time, is black/gray on a bronze background, and the quality is far inferior to printing in full color from the Canon pinter. Bernie |
