Default SATA Mode: RAID or IDE?

Hello,

When installing a new Mobo, I've hooked up the
DVD/RW to primary master. No other IDE devices.
I do have a floppy installed.
I plan on just installing WindowsXP on the SATA drive.
Nothing else special planned with it.
On the SATA Controller, is it better to select
IDE or RAID ?

I've used RAID in the past with no problems,
but is there any advantage to doing this?

Kendall
