Seeking Advice: Dual Xeon System
Hi,
I am in the market for a dual xeon system and was wondering if the new 800Mhz chipsets can take the old 533Mhz bus chips?? Can anyone recommend some good motherboards for xeons?? I am interested in the NCT-D from ASUS. Thanks, Regards, Webster |

Why a dual Xeon system? Why not a dual Opteron system instead?

Take a look at this comparison of a single 64 bit Xeon compared to a single Opteron running 64 bit software. http://www.anandtech.com/linux/showdoc.aspx?i=2163&p=1 webster wrote: Hi, I am in the market for a dual xeon system and was wondering if the new 800Mhz chipsets can take the old 533Mhz bus chips??
