I understand hi-res DVI hasn't been supported on older cards, forcing you to switch to the analog VGA connection above 1280 x 1024. But what about the newer Radeons? The specs don't specify this detail. The Radeon 8500 and later with DVI can all run the IBM T221 at its native 3840x2400 resolution via the DVI. You may have to get Powerstrip in order to be able to set that resolution though. 1600x1200 should be no problem for the board. The earlier Radeons may be able to do this as well--the 8500 is the earliest that I'm sure of. -- -- --John Reply to jclarke at ae tee tee global dot net (was jclarke at eye bee em dot net) |

Do current ATI cards support DVI at 1600 x 1200?
