Increasing Shared Video Memory
Hi guys,
I have just purchased a Toshiba laptop TOS A15S1692. Due to my budget constraints I did not have the option of getting a system with dedicated memory. This system though has 32mb shared. By default it seems to be using 16mb (noticed when one sees the RAM at 240mb). I would like to increase this meory to 32mb. I read somewhere that this is possible by tweaking the BIOS. But I do not see any setting that would allow me to do so. Could you tell me how to do this? Also could someone tell me whether by doing this and increasing the system memory to 512mb will help improve gaming performance? I would like to be able to play most games available today at the very least. Quake3 seemed to work alright and so did Max Payne 2 though none were great. Please let me know. Thanks, - Nirmal |
